My name is Jakob Oliver Nicolaides.

I am a backend developer from Leeds who partners with agencies to deliver senior level project work with reliability, professionalism and precision.

I specialise in PHP development, with 10+ years of experience delivering complex products for agencies - booking systems, ecommerce platforms, payment integrations and internal web applications.

I work well with people - whether that's simplifying complex concepts for non-technical team members or taking the time to explain technical decisions in detail to stakeholders.

I see myself as an extension of your team, which means communicating clearly, being approachable, and making sure everyone feels confident in the work being delivered.

What I work with.

While most of my experience is in WordPress development, I'm equally comfortable working with other platforms including Magento, Shopify, Laravel, and Symfony.

On the frontend, I work with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks like Tailwind and Bootstrap.

I prioritise clean, maintainable code that's delivered on time. I understand agencies need reliable developers who can build fast, responsive sites without creating technical debt for their team.

Most of my work is white label agency projects, so QuickBall represents one of the few personal projects I can showcase publicly.

Built with my friend Sam, it features a complex Stripe integration that automates reimbursements between pitch bookers and players.

I'm currently available for new projects from March 2026.
